At startup, computers perform a Power-On Self Test, commonly known as POST. If problems are detected at boot, you can usually diagnose them using the error codes displayed on the screen. However, if nothing appears on the screen, the computer can use sounds (eg, beep codes) to tell you what is wrong. Many of these errors indicate hardware problems to a qualified technician should correct. But to start, if you see the keyboard lights flash while twice that means your computer motherboard works well. Otherwise, you can absolutely diagnose the cause of something wrong with motherboard components. Many BIOSes have different beep codes, even if they appear to come from the same manufacturer. This is because manufacturers of motherboards reprogram the codes to reflect their own customizations. You can often go to the website of the motherboard manufacturer to find the updated code, but you can find cases where the manufacturer simply did not document the changes.
