    Analog Devices’ engineers integrated an isolated power supply and isolated gate drivers in the same package by using the company’s award-winning iCoupler(R) technology. This provides isolated high-side and low-side outputs together with ADI’s proprietary isoPower(TM) integrated, isolated power. isoPower leverages iCoupler technology’s chip-scale micro-transformers along with high-voltage CMOS to create an isolated dc-to-dc converter.

About the ADuM5230 and ADuM6132 Isolated Half-Bridge Gate Drivers

The ADuM5230 and ADuM6132 are designed for implementations that include motor drives, plasma displays, and power inverters found in power supplies and solar power converters. On both devices, the integrated, isolated converter powers both the high-side output as well as any external buffer circuitry, eliminating the cost, space, and design complexity associated with external power supply configurations.

The ADuM5230 and ADuM6132 differ in power capability and high-side/low-side isolation configuration. In the ADuM5230, which supplies 150 mW of power, the high-side and low-side outputs are isolated from each other as well as from the inputs. In the ADuM6132, which supplies 250 mW of power, only the high-side output is isolated from the input.

In contrast to gate drivers employing high-voltage level translation methodologies, the ADuM5230 and ADuM6132 offer the benefit of true galvanic isolation between the inputs and outputs. On both products, the outputs may be operated up to +/-700 V (peak) relative to each other. On the ADuM5230, the isolated outputs may be operated up to +/-700 V (peak) relative to the inputs, thereby supporting low-side switching to negative voltages.

The generic boot loader in Linux operating systems is the LiLo (short for LInux LOader). Using LiLo as the boot loader, you can boot the Linux system using any boot device such as hard disk, USB, etc. It is a very useful component that can either be placed in the MBR (Master Boot Record) or in the boot partition of your system. At times, you find that your system is unable to start displaying random error messages. There is quite a possibility that corruption in LiLo is the most prominent reason behind this. In such cases, you should take every suitable step to perform data recovery of Linux system. If none of the methods succeed, then you should use a third-party Linux data recovery software to do so.
Let us assume a scenario in which you have a Linux system, which is not starting when you do so. The following error message is displayed on the screen:
“The BIOS failed to properly initialize the disk controller. You should control the BIOS setup parameters. A warm boot might help too. (Boot a rescue disc and rerun LILO. )”
Cause:
The most possible cause of this erroneous situation is that the descriptor table is corrupt or damaged.
A Linux-based hard disk is divided into different blocks that is further managed into block groups. The description of these group blocks is contained by a group block descriptor. In short, the descriptor table contains the index table of all the group block descriptors.
Resolution:
To resolve this problem, you can try out the following methods:
• Check and verify the disk parameters in the BIOS (Basic Input/Output Section) of your Linux system. • After this, you should reinstall the LiLo after formatting the Linux system. Having said that, you should make sure that you have the updated backup of all your valuable data, before reinstalling the Linux system. • Run fsck to fix any file system related errors.
However, if the backup is not updated you would not want to risk the existing files by formatting the system. In such cases, a third-party Linux data recovery tool comes for your rescue that recovers data from Linux systems. Such Linux recovery tools are very simple to use that require few clicks to recover the inaccessible data without damaging the existing contents.

Like other computer operating systems, Linux also uses a number of data structures to perform various operations. These data structures include Superblock, root directory. Superblock is one of the most significant data structures, which contains all the basic information, such as file system type, status (either mounted or un-mounted), and size. In some situations, this data structure may get damaged and Linux cannot access data from hard drive. It causes critical data loss situations and requires Linux data recovery to be fixed. Linux file system manager accesses the Superblock information for maintaining it. All the parameters, like size, defined in the Superblock must match the actual parameters; otherwise you may face critical problems. For example, if the size of is different in Superblock as compared to actual size, then disk is reported as corrupt and you run across critical data loss problem and need to opt for Linux recovery solutions. As a practical instance of this issue, you might get the below error message when you try to access data from a Linux operating system based hard drive-”The filesystem size (according to the superblock) is xxxThe physical size of the device is yyy. “The above error most frequently occurs when you try to repair Linux files using the fsck command. The above error suggests that the file system size is mismatching and the partition is damaged. CauseYou may come across this behavior in Linux operating system, if any of the below conditions are true-An application or the system is attempting to write data on hard drive where Superblock is located. The problem occurs when Linux operating system prevents the application from writing. The hard drive volume is damaged. The file system, partition table, or the Superblock is damaged. To perform data recovery Linux in such cases, you need to resolve this issue as soon as possible. ResolutionTry out the below Linux data recovery methods to work around this behavior-Boot your system in the single-user mode. Run unmount -a command to unmount disk volumes. Try repairing the Linux volumes using fsck command. Resize Linux volumes with the help of resize2fs command. When the Reiser FS kernel detects an error on the hard drive, it prints some error messages on the screen. It might be a bug. In the Super Block of Reiser FS file system, there is an Error pasture. It is set when file system kernel notices something bad. So, what happens in this case? May be the Linux user could not read Syslog and could not see the error message or the error is simple an overture of memory corruption, which could lead system to crash. In such situations, when you reboot the system, this goes in the merry way, mounting Reiser FS file system with known errors on the same, using badly allocated memory locations, B-trees and directories etc. Double allocation of memory blocks and overwriting of blocks may also take place, making the files corrupt. The Linux system is an open sourced operating system that is used by people all over the world. Unlike Windows and Apple operating systems, it is not a sole proprietary of a single organization. In fact, over 1,000 developers from at least 100 different companies have contributed to its each update. On a lighter note, it is created by the people, for the people, and of the people a la democracy. The most notable thing about Linux is that it can be used absolutely anywhere, from wristwatches to supercomputers. However, Linux systems too can get corrupted. Corruption can occur due to various reasons such as human errors, virus infections, abrupt system shutdown, damaged file system, faulty hardware components, etc. To resolve this issue, you should take appropriate corrective measures. However, if you are unable to do so then you should use a third-party Linux data recovery software to perform data recovery of Linux system. Consider a scenario wherein you are not able to boot your Linux-based system having ext2 file system. Cause:It may be possible that the file system of your Linux system has corrupted and, thus, has become inaccessible. The Linux system is an open sourced operating system that is used by people all over the world. Unlike Windows and Apple operating systems, it is not a sole proprietary of a single organization. In fact, over 1,000 developers from at least 100 different companies have contributed to its each update. On a lighter note, it is created by the people, for the people, and of the people a la democracy.
The most notable thing about Linux is that it can be used absolutely anywhere, from wristwatches to supercomputers. However, Linux systems too can get corrupted. Corruption can occur due to various reasons such as human errors, virus infections, abrupt system shutdown, damaged file system, faulty hardware components, etc. To resolve this issue, you should take appropriate corrective measures. However, if you are unable to do so then you should use a third-party Linux data recovery software to perform data recovery of Linux system. Consider a scenario wherein you are not able to boot your Linux-based system having ext2 file system. Cause:It may be possible that the file system of your Linux system has corrupted and, thus, has become inaccessible.
